Old fort (HF51)

Old Castle

Old Fort is a journey into the past, to a time when man had no influence on the colour of bricks fired using primitive methods. The Old Fort tile is inspired by Fort Carre, a part of the Wisłoujście fortifications built around 1602, which for centuries defended the port of Gdańsk. Looking at the colour palette of this tile, it’s hard not to get the impression that history is just around the corner. The brick red colour of the tile is interspersed with irregular anthracite nuances painted with the smoky illusion of passing time. The natural character of the tile is accentuated by fire-fixed ash crumbs and carbon sinters. The Old Fort tile captures the beauty of natural ceramics and is a perfect match for designs inspired by historic brick architecture.
